Starter Pokemon - Review

So far, I am not disappointed by designs of new pokemon. I really liked the starters a lot. Tsutaja somehow made me believe it is a some sort of lizard pokemon but Nintendo wants to call it a grass snake pokemon! Snakes have limbs? But I must say it looks really cool. Wherever I search about Starters, almost all comments were disturbing ones.

Cyndaquil+Treecko = Tsutaja ??????

Turtwig+Spoink = Pokabu ??????

Piplup+Buizel = Mijumaru??????

Pokabu and Mijumaru teasing Tsutaja! (See the pic)

I don’t think think so. All three of them looks good to me. At first I decided to go with Tsutaja. I wasn’t much attracted to the fire pig, though it looks cute. But later, after reading the harsh comments about Mijumaru, I felt sorry for it. Yes, I am choosing Mijumaru as my starter. My starters have been so far;

Charmander – RG

Chikorita – GS

Torchic – RS

Chimchar – DP

So I am getting ready to welcome my first water pokemon starter. Sources said that Corocoro June 15th issue is going to reveal new pokemon. It might be a random new pokemon or pre-evo or evo of any existing ones. With almost one month ahead, what we can do is just wait for the leaks which could come out around 10-12th of June. Though I am curious to know what all are our new pokemon in the Isshu region, I am absolutely RESTLESS to know what are the evolutions of starters! I would not like Tsutaja to lose limbs. It has the potential to be a grass dragon in its final stage. The fire pig can become a fierce looking boar. I actually wanted the water starter to be a polar bear, which could have made an interesting Water/Ice combination. Mijumaru is going to evolve into a big sea otter? Or may be..a big polar bear? Well anything can happen in Pokemon!

Pokemon 5th generation!

Starter pokemon from Pokemon Red and Green, Pokemon Gold and Silver, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl welcomes the new starters of Pokemon Black and White.(See below)

Well, the Pokemon franchise is soon to spawn its 5th generation of pokemon by the release of Pokemon Black and White for NDS in Japan around fall this year. Wide range of changes has been made in the game, bringing a revolution to the main series of pokemon games. First pokemon to be introduced to us were 2 foxes, Zorua and Zoroark, which are both dark type and set to act their roles in the 13th movie. Just like other generations, the player can start the journey with a starter pokemon – which is to be picked from 3; grass, fire or water. This traditional pattern for starters has been followed in 5th generation too. The Japanese names of these pokemon have been revealed to be Tsutaja(Grass), Pokabu(Fire), Mijumaru(Water). Fans have assigned them the names Smugleaf, Pignition and Wotter respectively till their official names are declared. Tsutaja is Grass Snake, Pokabu is Fire Pig and Mijumaru is Sea Otter. Their evolutions are yet to be revealed.

My Character Picks

William Shakespeare, a great writer, was born on April 23(presumed), 1564 and died on the same day; April 23 in the year 1616. Little knowledge I had about him till I finished high school. Then I had to learn his play “Julius Caesar”, which was prescribed by the ICSE Board. At first, I had no interest to study it. But as days passed, I felt an attraction towards the theme of the story. That was just the beginning of my feelings towards such historical plays. I started imagining myself to be an actor. Not any hero of a sci-fi movie or fantasy genre, but portraying the role of Marcus Brutus.

Yes, my favourite character in “Julius Caesar” is Caesar’s dear friend Brutus. From the beginning itself we could understand he had no ill-feelings towards Caesar. He is Caesar’s good friend. Being a calm, noble Roman who gives priority to the welfare of his people, he was ready to do whatever for them. With this state of mind, he couldn’t understand the jealousy of Cassius towards Caesar. As the scenes proceed, no one will feel bad about him, but about Cassius and other jealous traitors. According to Brutus, his actions were aimed at the well-being of Rome and its people.

From Rome, I was planted to Scotland. Being exposed to anoth

er tragedy, I really felt – why is it so? My sister studied under same board. But she studied two comedies – “Tempest” and “Merchant of Venice”. In higher secondary, the tragedy I had to study was “Macbeth”. I was too sad. I wanted more stuffs from Rome. As usual, when days passed, I began to forget what happened there at Rome, and my mind was full of Scotland.

In this play, the name itself declares who is the real hero – Macbeth (too bad Julius Caesar isn’t the real hero in that play). He is ambitious, but not a born criminal. The murderer in him was summoned by his own lovely wife (Lady Macbeth). He loves

his wife very much, which made him think that whatever she says, is going to yield good results. But as scenes proceed, the dark tone of this drama won’t allow poor Macbeth to enjoy any of his noble positions – Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and King of Scotland. The Three Witches do warn him in a mysterious way, which was far away from his logic, leading him to death.

I must say, if I ever get a chance to play a role in these two dramas, undoubtedly I will pick Brutus and Macbeth. They are my heroes in those Shakespearean tragedies.

That’s all about historical stuffs, but what about mythological characters? Want to know? Ok, I will say.

In Mahabharatha, my favourite character is Karna. Though he is fighting for Kauravas, he had known much earlier that Pandavas are his brothers. But he did not want to be in dilemma; i.e. , he had taken pledge to end Arjuna’s pride in the war. Eventhough Arjuna is his brother, Karna had his complete loyalty to Duryodhana, who helped him in a much needed time. From his introduction, till death, he is the represen

tative of so many good elements like kindness, helpfulness, loyalty, friendship, trust, etc which makes him different from others. He kept his promise to mother Kunthi that he won’t kill any brother other than Arjuna. It was tricks of Lord Indra and Lord Krishna that helped Arjuna kill Karna.

Jai Hanuman! Yes, when it comes to Ramayana, my pick is Hanuman. He is strong, loyal and well-determined. His strong will power can be seen throughout this epic. Being a devotee of Lo

rd Rama, Hanuman did his best to help him regain Lord Rama’s beloved wife Sita, who was taken away by the demon Raavana. For all his actions, Lord blessed him with immortality.

My favourite God is Lord Shiva. I don’t know if I am lucky enough to portray him one

day on stage. I feel really great to imagine me in that costume. With the trident, snake around my neck..Oh God!Please give me a chance!

At school I did enact Rana Sanga and Vasishta in two dramas and gained generally mixed to positive reviews. Later, no dramas were played due to the fast approaching ISC exams.

But what made me sad was something else. After my batch passed out, in the following year, on the school annual day, the drama “Julius Caesar” was enacted by my juniors.

After reading all these, don’t think I aim to be a drama actor alone! Of course, if I get a chance, it would be my honour to take Rupert’s role as Ron Weasley, Tobey’s role as Spiderman, Hugh Jackman’s role as Wolverine, Brad’s role as Achilles (A remake of Troy? ) or even Shah Rukh Khan’s role as Don!

Indians: United we stand, Divided we fall

What is going around these days?Fight for survival?or supremacy?

The whole world is in danger.

Each day, new faces come to earth. They smile, laugh and play without knowing the true face of the people around them.

Instead of fighting over silly issues, we all must form a union and fight against those who kill other fellow human beings just to show off their power.

Time is running out.It isn't the time to debate about the supremacy of our own religion.Think from heart. No religion teaches anyone to kill people who have faith in other religions.

Religions,castes,sub-castes..all these classifications are man made.

Now it is time to stand united, forget about the differences and rows, and fight for our present and future generations. Its our duty; our responsibility towards our nation.

Before claiming the superiority of your religion or caste or city or state or province or whatever, just think..we are INDIANS!Brotherhood must not be limited to our national pledge!

United we stand, Divided we fall

Do remember this motto. It is true.

If we were united, no foreign powers could have ruled us.

After understanding the power of unity, the true Indian patriots fought hard for the freedom.

Yes, we got it!

And now it is at stake!TERRORISM!Even amidst all these tensions, political parties are still quarreling with each other!

We citizens must not sit as if we aren't seeing anything.A simple blog post may not be able to do the task but the people and their thoughts need to be provoked! That's the aim!

Mera Bharath mahan!

JAI HIND!
